What is Consecration

56:050922

What is Consecration

We hear the Word banded about from time to time, what does it actually mean?
Consecration:- it derives from the word [Konsikrei]
Consecration .. There are some 23 words that are Synonyms ~Antonyms ~ idiomatic expressions, as well as other related words for .. Consecration .. such as Dedication; Glorification; making Holy; Anointing; Hallowing; enthronement; Ordination; Immortalisation; Sacrament; Communion.

This was a small selection of related words, which helps to shine a light on to the whole meaning of Consecration, for Christians it is the …
  • The action of declaring the ‘bread & wine’ to be, or represent the body & blood of Christ.
  • The action of making, or declaring something typically a church action.
  • The Ordaining of someone to a sacred office, typically that of the Pope.
... The first condition of consecration, that we must always be entirely/complete readiness to accept Gods will for our lives. It’s not enough to just be willing to do Christians work. There are many people who are quite ready to do certain things in the service of Christ, and there those who are ready to do anything He might want them to do. So many will have their own ‘pet-projects’, in Christian work, our pleasant past times of service for our Master, some things we like to do. Into these we enter with enthusiasm, and we suppose we are so willing to these things.
Leviticus 20:7 “Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God”

But the heart of consecration is not devotion to this or that of service for Christ, it His the divine will. It’s readiness to do, and here’s the kicker, to do NOT what we want to do in Christ’s service, but what He [Christ] gives us to do. When we reach this state of readiness we shall not need to wait long to find our spirit filled word.

The next condition of consecration, resulting from this is the holding our life directly and always for the will of Christ. Not only must we be willing to do His will, what ever/wherever it is, we must be willing to do it, this is the practical part. . .
Deuteronomy 12:28 “Be careful to obey all my commands, so that all will go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is good and pleasing to the Lord your God”
… The moment Christ wants us for any service, we must drop everything and respond to His Call, just as Abraham did. [Genesis 22]. Our little plans must be made always under His eye, as fitting into, and as part of, His perfect plan for our lives. We must take our arrangements engagements with the consciousness that the Master may have other use or work for us, and at His bidding we must give up our plans for His instead.

Exodus 14:4 “I have planned this in order to display my glory”
Proverbs 19:21 “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail”
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”

Whilst at work we all enjoy a ‘good-day’, which brightens our heart. We hope our plans have nothing will spoil our dreams for the day. We anticipate this unbroken day in our jobs, that we very much enjoy. But, the first hour is scarcely passed before, someone calls you. Sadly the call is not one that brings joy, but instead only concern, as so you can’t see how to resolve the problem. It may even seem needless even pointless, like .. ‘A neighbour pops round sit a while, someone whom is without work. They only came around to while away some of their empty hours. Or, though all you seek is rest, but the sound of the phone punches the golden silence...
[NIV] Hebrews 13:15-16 “Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased”
[NLT] V16 “And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God”

. . . It’s Friday evening, you’ve eaten, and slumped into that comfy chair, then let out that end of week sigh to say you made it through a very physical & mentally trying week and am spent. When the shrill of the phone cuts through the air.

Now the Friday before a close friend had led you to the Lord Christ Jesus. At this beginning of the week, you had prayed for the Lord to prosper you, through His plans for your life. It seems very clear to you that the call which has disturbed you has some connection with your consecration. Those people who called you, Christ (in fact) sent you, perhaps they really need you? They may be in discouragement, which you could change to cheer, even changing diss-pair which you can change with help from Jesus, to turn into help. Or, it may be someone facing temptation, having a moment of crisis. Or, it could be someone in desperation, who just wants end it all, as life has become too much, but have just called you on this Friday evening, before hand as a last cry for help. Christ will never give you, or put you in, a situation that you cannot handle with Him working through you.

On the flip side, there is no such need in any of those who come and spoil your planned quite hour, but instead of being a person needing your time, they actually bring you blessings, in the very discipline which comes in the interruption. God wants to train us up in a state or readiness to do His will. So nothing that He sends our way shall ever distress us, or catch us unawares, thus having us in a state of preparedness, to do His will.

Once our Lord took His disciples apart to rest a while, since there were so many coming and going that they had scarcely had time to eat. But no sooner had they reached their place of resting than the eager people, came hurrying around the shore of the lake, began to gather around them, with their needs ~ their sorrows ~ their sicknesses. Christ did not once murmur, when His plan for rest was thus broken .. Q “How many times has your peace time, rest time, been broken in on?” “Did you let out a grumble or say thank you God?” .. He [Jesus] did not say to them, that He had come to this place for a well needed rest, to recharge their batteries. Instead he forgot His weariest, and gave Himself at once, without the slightest reluctance or with holding, with all His hearts loving warmth and earnestness, to the serving and helping of the people who had followed Him, even in most unmannerly fashion to His retirement.

[NKJ]Psalm 37:7 “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him”
Matthew 11:28/30 “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light”

We all become weary, when our time is always being looked for, when all you want is ‘10 mins peace’, but there seems not even that. Remember .. “I will give you rest” .. so don’t fret. We always get examples/lessons of rest from the Master…
  • He may follow us to our vacations, with fragments of His will..
  • He may call us out into the darkness, or the storm on errands of mercy, after a hard days work, just as you put your slippers on, and are resting with loved ones..
  • He may wake us up from sleeing by a loud banging on the front door.
… We not appear unreasonable if we should show that we’re exhausted, and don’t want to go on these errands for Him.. ‘After all there are limits to our Human strengths & endurance’ .. try and always remember, other have NO hold or have a claim over us. We will be fresh & strong in the Lord, the storm will pass. When we find ourselves in a storm, the best thing to do is to go through with the Lord in our boat.

Somewhere out there is a soul God wants our paths to cross. It may be a chance meeting in a shop, or sitting next to someo0ne on a bus/train or even a plane. So don’t close your ears to Hid divine will. Never refuse to answer His call, as this chance meeting might be the tonic needed, and not just for the stranger. Christ has already consecrated this life . .
Hebrews 10:19/20 “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh”
. . there is no place in this life for beautiful which will not work, or splendid visions which will only be just that ~ theories or splendid visions. We can site scripture verses and their pledges, the hymns we sing. These are all pleasing to God, if we cans how our sincerity and become doers of His will.

James 1:22/23 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror”
Another form of ‘Consecration’ is ‘humility’. It does not mean great things , like ‘conspicuous service’, but small lowly things, of which we look for neither ‘praise or thanks’. Just the Lord, we must instead be content, to live a life that is not .. boastful ~ prideful ~ puffed up or look at me. 99 times out of a 100 the work that blesses the World, and which most sets forward Gods Kingdom, must always be inconspicuous, along the lines of common duties, in your home ~ Relationships ~ Personal associations ~ in your streets ~ and being helpful in you neighbourhoods and so on.

To start with ‘Consecration’ must be a spirit within us .. a spirit of love .. a love in our hearts which shall flow out to everyone, in a desire to bless and make better all things in Christ, if only we would follow Christ’s lead. . .
Psalm 31:3 “For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me”
  • One days work leads to another..
  • One duty leads to another..
. . . We are never shown maps of continents with all roads of our life shown on them .. I heard this analogy of how we see our lives and how God can see them, OK lay out 10 dominoes in a straight line, stood upright. Looking head on you can only see the first one, now shuffle around to the side, and look again. Now you can see our lives how God sees them, in that you see the beginning form the end, the first from to the last. All we need to is to have faith in the knowledge He sees all.

We shall always be shown the next challenge, then the next. For if we saw ‘ALL’ of our life’s challenges it would scare the pants of you. If only we would be obedient, there shall never come a time when we cannot know what our next duty is.

“Those who follow Christ's never

walk in darkness”

Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your living word, that we can use as the road map to our lives. May we be as so bold as to approach your Heavenly throne through the blood of your Son, Christ Jesus, with humility and a thankful heart, for all you have done and are about to do in our lives. As we live by Faith wholly consecrated to you.
Amen.

Our Prayer's

Our Prayer's

Types of Prayer . .
Prayer of faith . . This is the prayer of petition or to change things 'it never contains the word .. IF'
Prayer of Consecration . . This prayer Jesus used in the garden of Gethsemane ..
“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done”   (Luke 22:42)
Everything we do in life is governed by it's own set of rules. Example: 'You would not use the rules from Ice Hockey and apply them to Football, it would be funny to see, but impossible to do. The same is applied to Prayers. With out them we might as well talk to the fridge. Through prayer we can communicate with God.
Hebrews 5:7  "Who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries
and tears to Him"

Listed below are just some other types of prayer's . .
Commitment
1 Peter 5 :7 "Casting all yours upon Him for care for you"
Worship
Luke 24:52/53 "And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen"
Agreement
Mathew 18:18/20 "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them "
United Prayer
Acts 4 :31 "And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness"
Intercessory
Romans 8:2 "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning's which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes
intercession for the saints according to the will of God"

Prayer of Faith
While here on Earth Jesus had a 'Hot-Line' to God. We would have to have a mobile strapped to our ear 24/7 talking to God, to come close. Don't walk around shouting prayers so all and sundry hear you. But, instead seek a quite place so as not to be distracted. This dose not mean you can't pray whilst walking down the high street, rather let it be personal. You might have someone ask for prayer, let it be between the 2 of you. Then there are times when in Church we are asked to pray for someone ill, or hear the leaders of the Church pray over someone or couple. I often in the quite of the night as I fall of to sleep send my prayers up at this time.
Prayers of Faith in Time of Distress
James 5:15 "And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" ... So how is that we achieve such prayers and many others? May be we have to 'persist in' or 'Dwell', and perhaps 'reside'. .
John 15 v9 .. The Message: “I've loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love."
NKJ : “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love."

The word 'IF' is such a small and insignificant word. But can undermine the best of Prayers.Applied in this passage it can make or break your prayer life, and your connection with God. How can this be I hear you cry, well, which of the 2 statements below will have the desired out come you want. .
A . . you come to me and say I'm going to a job interview and I kind of want this position but I'm not fussed either way, I might need some help. Though I'm not fussed wether I get it or not. . . OR . .
B . . You come to me and say I've seen my dream job I really need your help, this is how you can help get it. . Well
. . This is how your prayers sound when God receives them. It's time to strip all the dross away and start having a break through in your prayer life. Time to stop saying IF it be thou will, of cause it is Gods will. What we have to do is stand on His promises, be careful of what you pray for it will come true!!!

Prayer of Consecration
The world is far more populated than that in Jesus' time. So I bet you are wondering how your going to herd over and above others let alone God knowing who asked for what. We are as unique as our fingerprints set us apart from everyone else. God has no need for the telephone - Voice mail or E-mail. All our prayers are herd and will be answered in the fullness of God's time.
Luke 22:39/42 "Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying,“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done "

Jesus is asking then saying that What ever is to come He will accept it, though He might not like it, He will know it's His father wishes that this must happen. So many times do we try and do things in our own strength when if we only prayed about it. Them letting God take over.
Exodus 13 v3 "And Moses said to the people: “Remember this dayin which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out of this place"
With consecration you are laying down a marker to remind you of what the Lord your God has done. lest you forget. Here are some terms of Consecration. . blessed (also blest), Holy, consecrated, hallowed, sacral, sacred, sacrosanct, sanctified
. . may these help you. You may be looking at the different types of prayer and say it's all well and good they wont help me because I need for prayer's of depression or feelings of guilt, well don't despair any longer. There is a book the I got recently By Beth Moore called :- Praying God's Word. For in this book she goes into depth on how to pray over a situation and then apply them. Your not alone. Don't forget to make your prayers personal, it's alowed you know.

Prayer
Lord Jesus as your word shows how to pray, as we find many situations in today which we need your guidence. Show us your Word that will bring comfort and your Love. In our Father Gods Name, Amen.

Prayer, May be some of the Rules of. ..../

Prayer,
May be some of the Rules of. .

Most everything in life is governed by it’s own set of rules. For example, I would not use the rules for ‘Ice-Hockey’ to play Football/Soccer. It would be impossible to the same for ‘Prayer’, without them we might as well talk to the fridge.

Whether kneeling or standing, the individual either lifted up their hands. . .
Ø Psalm 28:3  Do not take me away with the wicked And with the workers of iniquity, Who speak peace to their neighbours, But evil is in their hearts.
Ø   113:7  He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,
Ø Lamintation 2:19  “Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, Who faint from hunger at the head of every street.”
Ø    3:47  Fear and a snare have come upon us,  Desolation and destruction.
. . .or spread them out. . .
Ø Exodus 9: 27 And Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. The Lord is righteous, and my people and I are wicked.
Ø Isaiah 1: If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land
Ø 1Kings 8 ; 22 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;
Ø Ezekiel 9; Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side;

. . .Originally, no doubt, to the Alter, but afterwards to Heaven. There were indeed expectations to this, (as) when to express deep contrition a man would smile his hands on his breast. No matter to the consequence. Daniel prayed 3 times a day, even though if caught he would have put to death.

Through prayer (which is the only way) we can communicate with God. There are different types of prayer. . .
o   Prayer of Faith – is the payer of petition, or, to change things,  “. .who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear. .” (Hebrews 5: 7)
o   Prayer of Consecration – is the prayer Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane.  “. .Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. .”  (Luke 22 : 42)

There are in fact many different types of Prayer, here are just some examples. .
1.     Commitment .. 1 Peter 5:7
2.   Worship          .. Acts 13 : ¼ - Luke 24 : 52/3
3.   Agreement      .. Mathew 18 : 15/20
4.   United Prayer ..Acts 4 : 23/31
5.    Intercessory    .. Romans 8: 26/27 – Ephesians 6: 18

So, how is it that we can achieve such prayers, and many others? Well may be we need to Persist in prayer.
Well may be we need to Dwell in prayer.
Well may be we need to Reside in prayer.

Because the devil convinces us that, God won’t our answer prayers, so we just don’t even bother to pray. How many victories were never won , because we failed to go to God for help in our time of need. Realise that it is not God won’t even bother, but rather that ‘WE DON’T EVEN BOTHER GOING TO HIM’.

There is this 2 lettered word ‘IF’. It is such a small and insignificant word, but don’t be fooled it actually has the power to undermine the best of prayers. It carries such a punch that it can ‘make’ or ‘break’ your prayer life, and with your connection with God.

A most important note here is the one He gave to His disciples is a short specimen of a fitting prayer, to show that He Himself of prayer… “..So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven’..” (Luke 11 : 2)… Prayer was not an occasional thing to be used under pressure of urgent need, Or, when you have exhausted everything else before hand. Today it would be like having a mobile-phone permanently connected to God.

This World of ours is far more populated than in Jesus time. I bet your wondering how on Earth, you can be heard above all the others praying praying and seeking God at the same time, Let alone God knowing what it is your praying for? You God today needs ne telephone – Voice mail – e-mail, because God truly knows every hair on your head, and your voice is as unique as your finger prints.

We can see now that our prayers should be like breathing you can’t live without it. One type of prayer is that of Faith, this prayer is one that can change things, a prayer of Faith should never contain the ‘IF’ word.
# Big revelation coming#

Jesus has given you the authority to use His name. .“. .And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. .”  John 14:14  …When you have the authority to use His name, it is as if Jesus is there in person. That exactly what happened in . .Acts 3:6
“. .Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. .” . .the man had been in the same place for a very long time, on hearing the command rose up and was able to seize his bed, and was able to walk and dance.

When you actually see this, and only then, you will truly grasp the fullness of the power of Jesus Christ’ name, and remove the ‘IF’ then your life will take on new meaning. When all is said and done, where does it leave us, once we realize the full power that is in our Saviours name, your life will change forever, and thus becoming more Spiritual led.
“. .He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. .”  (John 7:38  )

To receive such a blessing, God needs to see, that when we pray we revenge and authority, God will guide you and place on your heart what He needs you pray for. In Acts 12:5 . . .  “. . Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. .” . . .we can see what can be achieved when with reverence and authority we pray. With such force was the prayer realized that the prison physically shook to its foundations, that the prison doors burst open . .”. .The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. .” (James 5:16) . . . so when praying always make sure that your prayers come from the heart, and NOT the head.

Always remember to never underestimate the power of prayer. It is truly full of promise, that it has the true power to heal the sick, and can set those free under bondage. The power of prayer, it can part the Sea, the only boundaries of our prayers are our Faith and how much we believe we can make a difference.

God’s word always returns to Him fulfilled, but never let our failures keep you from wondrous thrown of Grace. So arise and seize the moment and discover the awesomeness that can be available in prayer.

Intercessory Prayer....

Intercessory Prayer

Nehemiah 1 4/11   “. .Why have they never known the way before? Why hundreds stand outside the mercies? I
know not; but I ask, dear Lord, thou would
lead them now . .”

Prayer is one of the greatest privileges and one of the mightiest forces with which man can have to do. Through prayer Elijah turned off the rain of Heaven for 3 ½ years . .

James 5 17   “. . Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it
did not rain on the land for three years
and six months . .”
. .and Peter was delivered from the prison in answered prayer having made prayers unto God a Kingdom of priests.
Revelation 5 10   “. . And have made us kings and
priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.

It’s in our Heavenly calling to make to make intercession for others. In these words of Nehemiah we think we see Characteristics of prevailing prayer. These are . .
·       Earnestness
·       Knowledge
·       Importunity
·       Confession
·       Faith
·       Consecration

 Earnestness
We wept – Mourned – Fasted (v4). But, Why do we fast? Fasting & praying help us to focus, removing all temptation & distraction that will cause our minds to wonder. The main times, it seems, is when there is a disaster, like earth slides, or a plane crash where many people have been killed. For instance the recent terror attack to place in Paris, or the crude homemade bombs in New York.

We all can pay lip-service, i.e, a quick ‘Oh my Lord may your grace be upon them. Then you give them not another thought!

As God loves a cheerful giver and those who send heart felt prayers. He hates those who draw near in prayer, but those whose heart is somewhere else. This makes mockery of their whole prayers. In fact it’s better not to have prayed in the first place.

Knowledge
It was Nehemiah’s closeness to God that he had freedom of prayer, he could he could pray this . .

V6  “.I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven,
the great and terrible God, that keeps covenant and
mercy for them that love him. .”

Because of Nehemiah’s belief in Gods greatness. .
-        His Terribleness
-        His Faithfulness
-        His Mercifulness
. . .all of this is great, but, when drawing near to Him (God) we must believe that He is the warder of them that diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11 6   “. . But without faith it is impossible to please
him: for he that comes to God must believe
that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him. .”

To know such a god in such a fashion is to ask much and expect much. Thus those of us that do know we do this with much importunity.

Importunity
(. .is when you go do something, like a girl asking ‘Please
take me to the Mall’ where she ask once. Whereas
Importunate is (objective), a plea that is so persistent,
or demanding that it becomes annoying. .)

I have never heard of the word being used, or have known about the word. That said it seems this word has been used a lot down the years.
Luke 11 8   “. .  I say unto you, Though he will not rise
and give him, because he is his friend, yet because
of his importunity he will rise and give him as many
as he needs. .”

It is of belief that some say you only have to pray once, because God is not deaf. So is a waste of time and your breath? Sure who knows what is in your hearts and minds. But, home much does it mean to that family member/friend saved or someone healed? Are we to say to them yeah sure, I’ll pray, then forget about them, after only praying for them once.
Daniel 11 32   “. . And such as do wickedly against the covenant
shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know
their God shall be strong, and do exploits. .”

Those truly know their God will know that it pleases god to see us pray, and not just the once, but continually. Many have asked how often are you supposed to pray and for how long? Well, a lot throughout the day. I give thanks to the Lord in prayer, for every green light, find parking close to where going and free, for good Weather. In fact I give thanks to the Lord for everything. Just because I would pray with my eyes open, which is a pre-requisite when driving, does not lessen my prayers.

V6 “. . which I pray before thee now, day and night. .”  It was because of the widows continual coming (never giving up because it became hard/difficult). The lessen our Lord is trying to teach here is found in the parable from Luke, is of the man begging from his friend that comes at mid-night.

Luke 11 8  “. .I say unto you, though he will not
rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because
of his importunity he will rise . .”

It was whilst Moses help up his hand that Israel prevailed “. . pray with ceasing . .” but, not weary in such well doing, for in the season to come you will reap all, if you don’t faint.

V 6& 7  “. .both I and my father's house have sinned. We have dealt very corruptly against thee . .”
It has to be a sad state of affairs that large percentage of saved Christians think that “now I’m saved I can sit back and do nothing”, apart from keep seats warm.
The sin of dealing with God is a
b Very common one, and a very
Grievous one
So many pay lip service. Pretend to believe in His word. Because of this some many ‘still’ live in fear and dread and doubt. Then they ask the Lord, for the things they don’t need to get, instead prevail with God in prayer if there is no confession made of their deceitfulness which has made their lives so baron to date.
We can’t say for the Lord to come into our life, because I’m a sinner, but, I don’t want to change anything in my life and stop being a sinner. Then they get baptized, yet this meant nothing, because they carry on sinning. All the time they were lying God would you do this to your ‘Earthly Father? Would you? How can we expect to prevail with God when all we do is lie to Him!

Faith
Our Faith lay hold of the spoken word of God
V 8 & 9  “. .Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commanded thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there. .”
Within our prayers that are built up by Faith on the promise of God cannot be over thrown. Turning to the Lord himself, Nehemiah fulfilled the condition of the blessing, the he took the place of the Lords, remembrance, saying “Remember . . the word”. Nowhere in the Bible does it say, that god wants an elaborate shows of Faith. Instead it please Him for us to have a child like that is infinitely pleasing to Him.
God finds it very difficult to deny when He finds so much of Himself involved in such pleading. Instead God goes one step further and reminds us of His great works, in reminding us of his great power, “. .Power and strong hand. .” (V10). The audacity of Faith is astounding, it looks up into the face of God saying . .
“There is thy Word of promise, and there is redemption which is the evidence of thy mighty love and the strength of thy saving. .”
Now do this thing for me, he that comes to God must believe and in doing so believing he must be rewarded.

Consecration
V11   “. .O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine
ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the
prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name. .”

“In our prayers we should a miss if we are not prepared to yield ourselves unto God and to live for the Gory of His Name.” (Jes 4 v3) With God we have 3 classes of servants. . .
1.    The Slave:  Who serves through ‘fear’.
2.  The Hireling  Who serves for ‘wages’
3.  The Son  Who serves for ‘Love’.

The Slave:  Who serves through ‘fear’.
These people have been around for many-a-millennium They were forced to work long hours, for little shelter/rest or pay. Slaves had no say over to whom they should serve & Worship.
John 8 34
NKJ puts it ”. .Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
Although The Message puts it
“I tell you most solemnly that anyone who
chooses a life of sin is trapped in a dead-end life
and is, in fact, a slave. A slave is a transient, who
can’t come and go at will. .”

The Hireling  Who serves for ‘wages’
   John 10 12/113
But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not
own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep
and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.
The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not
care about the sheep.
John leaves no doubt as to the true meaning of these people. For if they had to stand at the pulpit teaching the Lord Gods word, was not paid. There would not, sad to say, be a large percentage of leaders/Preachers. To be one of these you must have a calling from God.

The Son  Who serves for ‘Love’.
He should be one who looks to please his Father & Mother, and be bringing grief & strife. . .
Proverbs 10 1  “. .A wise son makes a glad father,
But a foolish son is the grief of his mother. .”
. .Instead he should be seeking that that only shows love & peace, because he is free to do so. Unlike the ‘Slave’ he needs not to be oppressed into showing this. His time & love cannot be bought as he willing/wants to show his parents, how much they mean to him, no so for the ‘Hireling’.

It is the obedient and the devoted who expects to get the fullness of the Heavenly Father. It is those who present a living sacrifice unto God are able to show all that is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12 1& 2
“. .Those would prevail with God to give them the servants
portion, first of all must take the servants place. .”
