Getting help from Criticism

55:270121

Getting help from Criticism

Proverbs 17:17 “A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity”

We ought to get profit from Criticism.
Two pairs of eyes should see more than one?

None of us has all the wisdom there is the World. However as wise as any of us may be, there are others who know something better than we know them. Who can make valuable & helpful suggestions to us concerning some points at least at work.

The Shoe maker may never have painted the picture, but be could ‘criticise’ the shoes that were painted, when stood in front of the canvas. Which the great artist had covered with his noble creations, and the artist was wise enough to welcome the criticism and quickly amended his picture to make it correct.

Exodus 33:11 “So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend”
Of cause the shoe maker knows more about shoes, as the Tailor/Dressmaker knows more about making clothes, just as the Furniture maker knows more about making Furniture, than the Artist does. The closest criticism comes from a close friend, or family member, so this type should be received with Love.

No ones knowledge is encyclopedic. Though there are some things some body else will know better than you do, however wide your range of intelligence. An honest form of criticism is one that is done humbly, face to face. If you truly wish to grow, not just as a Tailor/Dressmaker/Furniture maker, but in any business, or just in life, you must accept criticism. I know that sometimes those whom have known the closest will say things in a way that have only one desired out come, and that is to hurt us.

Proverbs 24:28/9 “Do not be a witness against your neighbour without cause, For would you deceive with your lips? 29 Do not say, “I will do to him just as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work.”

It is true that other can see our faults & imperfections in us which we ourselves cannot see. We are to closely identified with our own lives to be objective critic's.

We can never make the most and the best of our life, if we refuse to be taught by others.

A ‘self made man’ is poorly made, as he is the product of one man’s thought. The strong things in his own individuality are likely to be emphasised to such a degree that they become idiosyncrasy’s, while no other sides of his characteristics are left defective.
The ‘best made man’ is the one who in his formative years has the benefit of ‘wholesome criticism. His life has been developed on all sides, faults have been corrected. His nature has been restrained at points where the tendency is over growth, while points of weakness are strengthened. We all need, not only as part of our education, but in all out life, the corrective influence of the options and suggestions of others.

In order to get from others criticism, we must relate ourselves in a sympathetic way. We must be ready to believe and give hospitable thought to the things other may say of us and of what we are doing. Some are only hurt, then become defensive, hence never have been helped, by the criticism. They tend to regard it always as unkindly, and so meet it with bitter feelings. They will resent it from where ever it comes, and what ever form, as something impertinent. It’s regarded as unfriendly, as a personal assault against which they feel they must defend themselves, putting their hackles up, becoming closed off.

We’ve all known ones who can’t handle any form of criticism. As long as others will compliment them on all things they do they give respect & attention and are pleased. However the moment a criticism, however slight, or even the question, whether something else would not be an improvement, is asked they are offended. This some up the World we live in today, especially with this woke generation. They regard as an enemy, anyone who even intimates to being otherwise. Surly when all is said and done that it proves they should have listened, you wonder they must feel thus ... Proverbs5:12/13 “How I have hated instruction, And my heart despised correction! 13 I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me” … It prove hard to be friends of any kind, with such people, for no-one cares to see their help dismissed without thought. Not many people will take the trouble to keep a lock on their lips all the while for fear of offending a self-conceited friend. They are no longer teachable, and therefore, are no longer a leaner. They would rather keep their faults than be humbled by being told in order to be corrected, such a spirit is unwise ... Proverbs 4:1&2 “Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding; 2 For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law” … the saddest thing here they would rather keep all their faults, and so pay no heed to criticism. Such importance is that we should always be ready to receive instruction, no matter the source.

Proverbs 4:5 “Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth”
In other words, we must continually be made aware of our imperfections. There is NO doubt it will hurt, when we’re connected, told of all our faults. Better this, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us feel. Really, we ought to thank the critic's for showing us where we’re going wrong despite how confident we think that we ‘re doing it the right way.

We can never make the most and the best of our life, if we refuse to be taught by others.

Of cause there are those we know, who would point out our faults ‘bluntly’ and relish to this ‘harshly’, to the point of being rude. Yet others will try and find a way to make us aware of our faults without causing us any feeling of humiliation. For sure it would be better if they all came this way. There is needed for, great wisdom & tact to point out someone’s faults ... Proverbs 4:13 “Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life” … we should all seek to possess the Spirit of Christ, who was patient and gentle when instruction & criticism was needed.

Too many take delight in discovering faults in other people, and then in pointing them out in front others for maximum affect & humiliation. Some will do it when they are in anger, blurting out their keen criticism’s in fits of bad temper. Harm is done often by the want of this spirit in those feel it is their duty to teach others a lesson.

St Paul urges his heavenly Father, not to provoke their children to wrath, lest they be discouraged. Yet there are parents who almost never corrects their children, as they feel they should ‘never’ be corrected. There are others, at the other end of spectrum, who continually tell them almost with every breath, telling them of their faults as if everything they say or do is wrong. They feel by doing this continually nagging them and scolding them in this way will make them tough, and able to cope with the harshness of this World. Sadly partners (for the most part men), will make them feel smaller than an ant, instead of finding someone else. Alas NO, they stay because it makes ‘them’ feel big?

We should never ‘Criticise’ or ‘Correct’, unless done with humble love … Proverbs 4:16 “For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall” … if we find ourselves in anger, or cherishing bitter, unkind or resentful feeling, as we are about to point out an error or mistake in another person or in another’s work, we better be silent and not speak, that is until we can speak in love. Only when our heart is full of love, are we fit to correct another or to speak of their faults.

Romans 2:1 “Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things”

We can never make the most and the best of our life, if we refuse to be taught by others.

While this is the Christian way for all who would make criticism of others, it is true also that, however we learn of our faults, it would be better to accept the correction in a humble, loving way, and profit by it. Phew of us hear the honest truth about ourselves until someone grows angry with us and blurts it out in bitter words. It may end up being an enemy who says the ugly thing about us, or may be someone who is biased and unworthy of respect, but whoever it may be, we would ask whether if there may some truth in the criticism, and if there may be, then set ourselves to get clear of it. In what ever way we are made aware of a fault, we ought to be grateful for the fact, for the discovery gives us an opportunity to rise to be better, nobler life or to a bigger and finer achievement.

This is the lesson:- We should not resent Criticism, whether it be made in a kindly manner that we should be willing and eager to learn from anyone, since even the humblest and most ignorant man knows something better than we do, and is able to be our teacher at some point, that truth should be welcomed, more so if the truth which affects our own life & work, it may wound our pride, and humble us, however it manner of coming to us ...

We can never make the most and the best of our life, if we refuse to be taught by others.

… the moment we learn of anything that is not beautiful in us, we should seek it’s correction. Thus only can we ever reach the best things in our Character, or do the best thing in achievement.
James 1:26 “If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless”
Psalms 34:12/14 “Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? 13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. 14 Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it”

So to finish, there’s an old saying here that goes like this …

“If you don’t have anything, helpful, constructive,
don’t say anything at all”

The Beauty of the Lord

55:110221

The Beauty of the Lord

When Charles Kingsley was dying he seemed to have a glimpse of the Heavenly splendour into which he was going, and of god in His brightness & loveliness, and he exclaimed “how beautiful is God”

Psalms 24:4 “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive blessing from the Lord

Every revelation of God that is made to us is a revelation of beauty. Everywhere is nature, in the flower that blooms, the bird that sings, the dew drop that sparkles, we can clearly see the reflections of God’s beauty … Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time” … in the Holy scriptures every revelation of the Devine Character presents tp us in surpassing loveliness. Christ was … “God manifested in the flesh” 1Timothy 3:16 … the beauty of the invisible God made visible to the human eyes, and such enrapturing beauty has never been seen, save in that blessed life.

The beauty of God is frequently referred to in the scriptures. In one of his, Davids Psalms, declares that the supreme desire of his heart was to dwell in in the house of the Lord, all the days of his life, just to behold the beauty of the Lord his God. Then in the prayer of Moses we have the petition .. Psalms 90:17 “let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us” .. this was a prayer that the charm of God’s excellence might be given to His people, that the divine beauty of the Lord might shine in them, in their lives, in their faces, and in their Souls. We think of the face of Moses himself, of when he came down of the Mountain, after forty days of communing with God. He had been so wrapped up in the divine glory, that his very body was as it were saturated with Gods brightness. Or, we think of Stephen, before his martyrdom, when a window in Heaven was opened and a ray of glory from the Holy place fell on Him. So irradiated was his features that even to his enemies his face appeared like the feature of an Angel.

There is a spiritual light that which makes the plainest face irradiate, and the homeliest of features lovely. There is a beauty of the soul shines like a star, in a World of sin & corruption. It is for this beauty we are taught to pray .. let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us” Psalms 90:17 .. It is not the beauty that fades when sickness smites the body, or which is lost in the withering touch over the years, but the beauty grows lovelier in pain or suffering, which shines out like a star at night. It transfigures the wrinkled and faded features of old age, and bursts out in death into the full likeness of Christ.

Every true Christians life is beautiful so far as it truly represents Christ. Anything in religion that is not beautiful is not just or adequate expression of divine thought. Holiness of Character is simple the reproduction in human life of the likeness of Christ, and any feature that is not lovely and whining, is not truly Christ like, and hence misrepresents. If not the Christian Religion itself that is unlovely in any case, but the Human interpretation of it in conduct.

Daniel 4:27 “Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor”

There are certain qualities that belong to the beauty of the Lord where ever it appears, one of these is ‘Spiritual-mindedness’. The eyes look upward beyond the things above. The aspiration is for more Holiness and why the expression is .. let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us” Psalms 90:17 .. The masters benediction is upon those who hunger and thirst for and after righteousness. Spiritual longing is the hearts cry, which God hears and always answers with more and more of His fullness. It’s the ascending Angel that climbs the ladder to return to the same radiant stairway, with ever new blessing from God .. “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth” Psalms 50:2 .. it’s nothing less than the very life of God in the Human soul. It is the transfiguring spirit in us which cleanses the dull Earthly lives into the divine image.

Psalms 27:4 “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life”

The beauty of the Lord in a ‘Human’ life is not merely a Heavenly yearning. It is intensely practical. It is more than religious sentimentality, more than a devout feeling, more mere than Holy aspiration.

True spiritual longing draws the whole life upward with it. Joan of Arch that her ‘White-Standard’ was victorious because she said to it ‘boldly among the English’, and then she followed it herself. We all must have aspirations, but we must follow them ourselves if we are to make our lives beautiful.

One of the first result of grace in the heart is sweeter, kinder, truer more helpful living, in all life’s common relations. It makes us men a kinder neighbour, it makes us men more thoughtful husbands, a gentler father. A wife and mother shows the beauty of holiness not only in her earnestness in Church and her prayer’s, but also in her devotion to the interest of her house.

let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us”  Psalms 90:17

You may disagree, but Heavenly contemplation must not draw us away from Earthly duties. When we get to Heaven we shall find Heavenly work to do, but for the present our duty is here, and be the best Christian we can can be.

Deuteronomy 16:15 “the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands”

We all want a religion, one that not only will lift us up to seventh Heaven of rapture; one that will not makes us forget our duties to those about us; but instead a religion that will bring God down to walk with us on all life’s hard paths of toil and struggle, and that will lead us out into all sweet ministry of love.

Ecclesiastes 3:13 “that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labour—it is the gift of God”

One feature of let the beauty of the Lord” as worn by His Children on Earth, is moral purity, Christ’s benediction is for the pure in heart. Bodily health is beautiful, mental vigour is beautiful, but a heart of purity is best of all. All spiritual loveliness begins within .. “let the beauty of the Lord” .. our God maybe on us but that winning charm of God’s loveliness will shine in the features of our life which man can see. We must first must have the divine beauty in us. A Holy heart will in time transfigure all life, and the only Holy heart is to have Christ within.

Be thou in God a pure, twice Holy child,

doing the right unconsciousness , having

God in you, thy complete soul.”

The Man of Sorrows

53:250119

The Man of Sorrows

1: Humiliation ... 2: Opposition ... 3 Anticipation ... 4 Separation ... 5 Relationship

Isaiah 53 3/6
3 "He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him."
4  "Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted."
5  "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed."
6  "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all"

The World in ‘every-age’ has had many a sorrowful man, but there has only been one ‘Man of Sorrows’. The sorrows of the Son of man were entirely unique and have been unparalleled.

1: Humiliation
It is something you do to another who has wronged you in some way, and made you look so Humiliated in front of those who thought good of you. Before you seek retribution, remember the saying “two wrongs don’t make a right”This is something I had great difficulty grappling with when I was first saved. All that God is, poured Himself into Jesus Christ, instead all we do is rebuke Him, humiliate Him, and beat him.
Remember, ‘but for the grace of God there goes us’. So due to social reteric, they put on us pressure to have the latest thing. You are humiliated if don’t have these. So much so that by accident or failure, then due to over stretching financially, we are now reduced to poverty and shame. No one ever had so much to give up as Christ Jesus, when He emptied Himself, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, becoming obedient unto death.
His was a sorrow of a unique

2: Opposition
We will ‘ALL’ have to face in our life time opposition. How we deal with it defines who we are. For Jesus’ the contradiction that He suffered at the hand of sinners against Himself was so unique. He was despised and rejected by men. Here is a man, whom scripture had foretold. What did they expect? God to appear in the sky above, and tell them on that exact date His son was coming, where & how? Oh hang on God did do this, in His scriptures. So why is it we still today NOT believe the scriptures? They were more just stories from hundreds of years ago, but, are our road map for our lives, now.
Ezekiel 39:8 “..Surely it is coming, and it shall be done,” says the Lord God. “This is the day of which I have spoken..”

# The temptation in the Wilderness #

The rebuking of the word; the same word used when dealing with ‘unclean souls’. The rebuking of Peter, and the ‘get thee behind me Satan’. He also went on to say ‘far be it from the Lord’ (referring to our Lords suffering death). Even when He (Jesus) was on the cross, they cried out and taunted him saying ‘come down, and we will believe thee’, I feel even if He had they would have just called it witchcraft, or magic.
His was a sorrow of a unique

3 Anticipation
It’s all enough to raise your blood pressure through the roof. How many times have we strained to say “It’s good for us that don’t know what is going to happen the next day ~ week ~ month or even year”. Or as to when this event is going to happen, because, if said to you next week on your way to work you will die in a bad car crash, you would not leave your bed let alone thr house.
Your nerves will become more and more jangled, the closer that date and time draws closer. You’ll think I’ll leave earlier, even go a different route to work, but your fate is sealed. But, these things are mercifully hidden, or else we would go mad with ‘anticipation’.
But only Christ has fully seen what was ~ is ~ & too happen. From a very young age, He came to minister to us, but not become just a seat warmer..
John 12:32/3 “if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself. This He said, signifying by what death He would die”
His was a sorrow of a unique

4 Separation
His very nature, as Holiness and Divinity had made Him separate from sinners, this was even though he was made in the likeness of sinful flesh. No one could feel this more intensely as ‘The Son of Man’ who was also ‘The Son of God’.
1 Peter 4 1/5 “Christ suffered for us in the flesh … should live the rest of his time in the flesh … enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles … they think it strange that you do not run with them”
As Christ suffered in the flesh, we are called by Christ to be separate from sinners. Being a Christian will cause you to stand alone at times in your community. Some of you will no doubt think that impossible, that Christians are still treated in this same deplorable way, yet they still are. I once heard the story of a group of Christians buried up to their heads and were told to denounce their beliefs and God, if not each would be beaten in front of the others, yet still NO-One turned and so were left there to dye.
His was a sorrow of a unique

5 Relationship
V4 “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows”
Now only she could do this as a fond Mother, whom is very devoted, and carries the griefs and sorrows of her beloved suffering Children. The bond of a Mother and her children is a special one, one when nurtured, builds a ‘relationship’ that can last a life time.
Jesus Christ has the same devoted love and ‘relationship’ with us. Such love and devotion, even conquering death for us. Honestly, ‘who do you know would do this for you’? Let alone a total stranger. So intense was His love and sympathy for us as sinful man, that He could not refrain from bearing our griefs & sorrows. It was in this wholly devoted one act that Jehovah was pleased to lay .. (V6) “..the iniquity of us all..”. It was for us that He poured out His Holy, sorrowful, soul unto death.
Lamentations 1:12 “..“Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Behold and see If there is any sorrow like my sorrow, Which has been brought on me, Which the Lord has inflicted In the day of His fierce anger..”

He Knows Everything

55:100521

He Knows Everything

Word ~ Thought ~ Deed

Colossians 3:17 “ And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”

By Your Words ..

I heard this analogy a long time ago. That helps to paint a clear picture. . . Have you ever been to an old Library, one that has a card-ex, which was used to help find the book or old news papers, you want, these were used pre-computer. Well, in just imagine every day, every .. Thought – Word & Deed .. all been written down on a card. Imagine how many there would be? Now having done that times it by a week, a month, a life time. How big a room warehouse to house them all, is there one big enough? Or, for the younger generation, how many ‘terabytes’ would be needed to hold all this information?

Matthew 12:36/7 “ But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

For instance … Whilst screaming at the car who cut you up .. Or .. that person who walks very slow and you get passed and in a rush .. Or .. When someone over charges you .. Or .. The Other person got promoted over you .. Or .. When you burn your mouth on hot food .. Or When your partner does not do what you want them too.

He Knows Everything #

Every Word you have uttered, these were just some instances, you might have said a regretful word. I know of a wealthy Businessman, he put some of his success down to pausing 10-15 seconds before ever replying. He did this so as his response’s were al2ways measured, so as never to give a ‘knee-jerk’ response because he did so much he became renowned for it in his business world.

Next time your in a heated debate, try this out and see how it helps to over come those ‘knee-jerk’ response. It could save a friendship or even a marriage, or Job.

There is no perfect day

Don’t think that trying control what we say is a new fangled thing, as it is not. Hear what the Psalmist had to say, when he was lost and needed help ..
Psalms 119:107 “I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word”
… living by His word, following Gods direction, having God in all we say will profit you very much. Keeping your Words cool, will give you ultimate control in your life. We all aspire to be better, to do better in our lives, so don’t delay, as it is never too late to make a change in your life, young or old.

By Your Thoughts ..

Psamls 64:6  “They devise iniquities: “We have perfected a shrewd scheme.” Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep”

Some days Words & Deeds are good but Thoughts

catch you out

Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” This is so clear. The one thing the Lord is not, and that is grey. How perfect, no room for don’t. We know how we have fallen short of the Glory of God"

We find ourselves out and an attractive lady/guy walks past, it may only be for 1 second, if only I was the same age. There goes another card added to the already burgeoning amount, so next time think of saying this ..’thank you for saving me’ and ‘Jesus I don’t won’t to think this way, please take these thoughts away’. And thank Him for giving you a perfect partner/Wife/Husband.

Today was not perfect but I’m saved

2 Timothy 1:12 “Nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day”

OK, so you have some unpure thoughts, it’s what you do next that matters. You need to bind them up, in Jesus name, ask to be washed in Jesus blood, purified - washed – cleansed of bad thoughts as there is power in the name of Jesus.

Christ our Lord will bless us, even though when we search deep within, we find ourselves wanting, and yet, He freely ~ happily ~willingly to give us His tender mercies day after day after day. Every Morning we should have a shout of praise & thanks giving upon our lips, whilst making Breakfast ~ Coffee/Tea ~ getting dressed ~ whilst taking the Children to school ~ shopping ~ whilst on our way to work even at work (you don’t have to take/sing aloud to Him). Are you getting the message yet?? Worship Him in ‘ALL’ things. Then you next thought will be to worship Him alone.

Psalms100:4 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name”
Philippians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”

By Your Deeds ..
Philippians 4:5 “Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand

It has sadly been proven, all too often that Christians, make the worst bosses/Managers/Owners of company’s. I feel they must think, that they have behave this way so that are not seen as weak ~ push-overs ~ soft. When they are really only shooting their testimony in the foot.

Each day before leaving home, S T O P look yourself in the mirror, and ask God to help keep ‘your’ testimony in tact. By checking yourself before reacting to any given situation, will make sure your Deeds shine Gods light out from within you.

Cause & Consequences:- Your late for work, your rushing, speeding down the road, you cut someone up, not giving them a second thought and carrying on your way/day. What you don’t realise is you have set someone up for a day of misery. It could result in them chasing you down, now resulting them being late for work, it’s now know as road rage.

He Knows Everything #

You must take care, be mindful of your actions at ‘ALL’ times. Deeds are not helping old ladies across the road, deeds are making a cupa (hot drink- Tea Coffee Hot Chocolate) when not asked for Deeds are those only seen by God.

Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful”
1 Thessalonians 5:17/19 “pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit”

As Christians the Wold holds us under a powerful micro-scope. Some have argued why us and not them? You see, they think they know many of our values, some from the movie of our Lord. So hence the think they know about being a Christian. What they don’t get is that we have ‘ALL’ fallen short of the glory of God.

Words ~ Thoughts ~ Deeds

Wee need to take His light within us, so as when these ropes come to trip us up, then we can just step over, without falling foul. For those ‘unsaved’ we have to show Gods tender mercies, His lovingkindnesses, show better it is having God in your life, how more contented with life you become.

I know not ‘all’ secular music is about .. Sex ~ Drugs ~ Guns ~ Suicide ~ Killing .. in contrast our Christian song are up lifting ~ Worshipping ~ Giving Thanks to god for saving us. Watch our videos of us openly worshipping our Lord and Saviour. Our faces filled with joy unspeakable, not contorted with vile rage.

I claim not to be perfect, as only Jesus was/is, so don’t panic when you do trip up, because everyone will. It is what you do next, as in your heart God will know your intentions. I will leave you with my last thought for you to think on ….

# Thanks is the front door key like no-other for God #

Prayer
May you Lord See ~ Know & feel how we have taken your word into our hearts, and nurturing it to grow, help us map our lives with righteousness, in Jesus Christ our Lord’s name, Amen

All is well pt 2 of 2

(PT 2 of 2)

 All is well

[[ This Word holds great importance to God as he pledges Canaan to Abraham ~ Isaac & Jacob repeatedly]]

Ps 37:16 A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked”

Over my years the number of times I have known those who have an abundance of riches, like Richard Branson, Simon Cowell, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Roman Abramovich and so so many more, but it does not make them happy, truly happy. I grant you it might give them a softer cushion to sit on. Yet they are still unhappy, and those who don’t have much, well the saying goes like this this … ‘As Happy as a Pig in muck’

Ps 37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous”

Let Gods Words bring peace unto your troubled mind ~ Body & Soul. Whilst we may not actually see His ‘Rath’, but … V1 “Do not Fret”. For He tells us ‘please try not to fret I have you’ .. ‘Don’t be silly they wont harm you’. He will not beg you to not worry, He tells NO, did you get that “N O weapon formed against you shall prosper”. (Isaiah 54:17) God always uses a language that can leave nothing but His intention clear to us …

# All Is Well #

I know a family that were faced with a group of men, who had nothing but murder on their minds, some had Baseball bats, one of them had a large pistol. Yes, the family had were Christians, after the group of men fled once the police got close, after ward it found that they had not put the ‘dead-bolts’ in place. They prayed to God for help, I can inform you today they are well and living in a new place, safe. It is sad that this is not localised, it happens the World over. Those in the News at the moment are those in the USA ...

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn”

WOW, this verse alone will help to quench fear, helping you feel safer. There are actually many scriptures to help bringing about peace & serenity to the most troubled of minds. God never minces His Words, Firstly to let us know that He has our ‘Six’. Secondly: He will do with those fears you have. It might be right there and then, today, or even next month, but “Fret not” For god always wants us to give ‘ALL’ our worries over to Him …

Whether they be ..

  • Paying the Bills .. like

  • Paying the .. Mortgage

  • Paying the .. Car & Repairs

  • Paying the .. School bills

  • Paying the .. Holiday payments

  • Paying the .. Credit cards.

These are but some of the bills everyone faces yearly. With the state of the World Pandemic ‘Covid19’. Now new worries are being found …

  • Can I work from Home?

  • How much money will I be paid?

  • When I the Children going back to School?

  • What state will their education be in?

I’ll stop here because as this will depress you more than you might already be. I’m not here to do this, but simply to tell you “Do not Fret”, as we have god on our side for guidance. So please with Faith that God will give you peace in these hard times.

Ecclesiastes 8:12&13 “Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. 13 But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God”

So those who read or hear His word. There are so many translations, to choose from, of the Bible, might I be as bold to recommend ‘The New King James’ version to be your first, because it’s language is closest to the Earliest translation, in ‘The King James’. Before going to other such as …

  • NIV .. New Internation Version

  • TM .. The Message

  • NLT .. New Living Translation

  • AMP .. Amplified Version

and so the list goes on. The above are just some of the more popular versions.

One of my last portions of scripture comes from one of the shortest Psalms.

Ps 23:1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake”

No matter how mentally, or physically tired ~ worn out ~ run done ~ burnt out. God and only He can give you the healing that is needed.

# All Is Well with my Soul #

I can go on with man many more scriptures, I want you to surround yourself with His Word, as I have shown here, also have fellowship with other Christians.

May God keep you and support you during this time

of great trials. Amen

All is Well

55:070521

(PT1 of 2)

All is Well

When you hear the cry .. All is well .. would you think of an Army Century at his post letting everyone know there are no new attacks, also letting others know your approaching the Century your a friend. Or, telling your family that you have no new illnesses, like Covid19 or Cancer. There is no taste quite like fresh food (even Vegetables), especially if have grown them yourself ..
Psalm 128:2 “When you eat the labour of your hands, You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.”
… if you have ever grown your own produce or herbs, youy’ll know how better they taste than shop bought. The thing is you don’t need a farm or garden, just need a box and a kitchen window.

Ecclesiastes 8:12 “Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him”

v13 “But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God”

Illness is surly one of humanity’s greatest robbers of fun ~ Energy ~ Happiness, and so much more, even to loosing loved one’s. But stop, it does not have to be, Christ gave us life .. “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” .. (John 10:10) .. come on now who would not want that? I know what I’m going to tell you next, many may argue against me for putting this. . . If Jesus, like myself who 20yrs in of broken my spine, and yet still not healed, don’t tell me God does not care, as He does. Try to think of as I try to do, ‘may be your not healed because He wants to use us as we are to witness to others’.

As Christians we would have read/heard of the story where this father leave his sick son to go in search of Jesus, as he is told our Lord was near his home. . . .
John 4:47/53 “When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. 48 Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” 49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” 50 Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!” 52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household”
… Jesus must have been very frustrated, just by the language .. “you people” .. Jesus must have thought to himself ‘my message is not getting across here’, ‘do they think I’m a court jester, performing tricks & illusions for their entertainment’? Was all that God did for nought? He must have been pulling His hair out by now, I know I would have.
God is only asking us to have ‘Faith and Believe or Believe because you have Faith’. That is as simple as it is. In the morning let God know that He is Believed, because He has kept you and your loved ones safe over night, so tell Him …

# All is Well #

Our Lord God will keep you safe, I was unable to find a better portion of Gods word that shows us to ‘Believe & have Faith’ than that of Psalms 37. The language there is so simple a child of 5yrs old could grasp. From the getgo .. V1”Donot fret” .. The Apostle John wrote in 1 John 4:4 4 “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” .. with God in us all things are possible.

# All is Well #

Psalms 37: 2 “For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb”

Surly after reading this who could not help to feel more safe; secure and happier. When understand and fully grasp this, fully believe this, NO one can stand against us, so hold you head up high.

The greatest thing is to have Faith in God guidance. He will always equip us with all the tools needed to over come any hurdles we are faced with .. Never look to anyone else .. I want for you to read this next portion of scripture a couple of time over, so that it goes in and sticks ...
37:3&4 “Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
WOW WOW WOW
… who would not want to do this. On this scripture alone, should have you running around with a smile as wide as the English Channel. I was once asked how in your darkest hours I seemed to find the good out of such a dark place? But it was not me, but Christ’s light, His strength is my strength, of which I give thanks for daily, He is the lamp unto my feet.

# All is Well #

When we fret we start to our eyes off of Jesus. Then start to burn wasteful energy, instead of giving our worries over to Him. . .
37:12&13 “The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth. 13 The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming.”

If you have ever watched a War movie, you would have heard them being told to .. ‘watch your six’ .. In other words .. ‘make sure there is no one sneaking up from behind’. God has us covered on ‘ALL’ sides, so “fret not”

Deuteronomy 8:1 “Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers.”

# All is Well #

Prayer
We worship Him in the highest, because we know the truth, let you soul sing for joy, because your free and in whom the Son sets free is free indeed. May His word be planted in your heart and produce fruit in abundance.

One Thing Lacking pt 1 of 2

 55:030621

One Thing Lacking

Lord by thy grace I have made my chance. In thy salvation

I rejoice. I was empty, I’m empty still. Thy full salvation dath

(does) fill me. Transient are all things that move, but thine is

everlasting love”

-Grosart

(PT1 of 2)

(NKJ) Luke 18:18/30 “..Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler
18 Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”19 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. 20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honour your father and your mother.’ ”21 And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”22 So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”23 But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich..”

With God All Things Are Possible 24 “..And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”26 And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?”27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”28 Then Peter said, “See, we have left all and followed You.”29 So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life..”

~ Jesus is equal to the need of all ~

The above statement is one we all need to tell ourselves often till it is something has become part of understanding of what Jesus can do for us.

In the TV series called ‘HI-di-Hi’. A slogan called out to all the campers every morning, then the campers call it out back. This would happen often throughout the day. This is a fictional TV series that has a laugh at many camps of the time, 1950’s on. The call was to let the campers know they are part of the family for their time there.

We need to say the above often, first thing in the morning and last thing at night before we close our eyes to sleep. In this study I will look at (6) six points …

(PT1 of 2) I) An Important Question … II) A Searching Inquiry  III) An Honest Confession …

(PT2 of 2) IV) A Testing Command   V) A Sorrowful Result … VI) A Forcible Application

I) An important Question
V18 “what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

There is no question more important for any young Christian than this. It is clear to see that ‘Earthly-riches’ will not buy the same standard of life, when join our Lord and Saviour in Heaven. The Egyptians were big believers in bringing their wealth with themselves, sorry guys but your wealth is still here. The question still remains ‘What do you do’? Here’s one of the easiest ways …
John 3:15&16 “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

God felt it so important, that He told us this twice over here. So why has this been so missed, in today’s message in Church. It wonderful to see a man, while revealing in his Worldly prosperity, he was so rich and could afford any luxury in life, but all was for nought, he now knows it all stays here for someone else. V23 “But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich..” You can’t but a better 2nd life, he now has realised that Salvation is a matter between Christ Jesus alone and our own souls.

II) A searching inquiry
v19 “So Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good?”
We all have fallen short of the Glory of God, for as much as we try we will fail, why? Because at the end of the day we are Earthly, and will so behaive accordingly. Try thinking of this picture if you will, you are awake after a wonderfully restful sleep, singing songs of worship whilst having breakfast, before the kids go off to school, and your partner leaves for work. You have never been so happy or revitalised. NO other is going to spoil this day, your soul at peace & happy. You feel a new strength, you have not a swear word in your thoughts, when suddenly whilst driving into work someone cuts you up nearly making you crash. Then B A N G you get hit in the side of the car, as the other driver runs a red light.

After the air bags deflate, you were luck and your only shook up a little, as they hit the passenger side of the car, luckily you had just dropped off the kids at schools. When …

... S N A P ...
… YOU jump out of the car, as you think of how badly the kids could have been hurt. You charge over to the other driver, screaming a bunch of swear words, telling them in no uncertain terms what you think of them.

Now, all that serenity you had before leaving home has just evaporated, gone. Our Lord would have us understand that He deals not only with the language of the tongue, but also the deeper motives of the heart, NO matter how good we try to be, we will always fail.
V19 “So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.”

When we come to Jesus about the matter of ‘Eternal-life’, we must come with purpose of heart, (in other words you are fully committed in your words & actions), believing that Jesus is like God divine, and He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Surely you believe this, don’t you?

III) An Honest Confession
V21 And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”

For sure this ruler was truthfully sincere when he said this as he knew nothing against himself. In today’s society it can be very hard to find someone who can be both humble also honest about themselves. There can be a peace of conscience that is not the ‘Peace-of-God’. All be it that there is for sure a character of justice, as seen in the sight of the law, although not justified in the sight of God, as it is written.
Galatians 3:11 “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”

In Galatians 3: 10/14, goes onto talk about how christ came to release us from “the curse of the Law”. So there should be within us a sence of freedom, but a good balance of what is now acceptable. V14 gives much clarity for those in doubt .. “that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Due to the demands put upon them because of the law, it was broken time after time, demands that NO one was able to keep. To finish this is must be said that … “though His (death upon the cross) Christ Jesus died for us, this was what we could do for ourselves”.
Galatians 3: 10/14 10For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

All Christians should know accept & believe planted deep within our hearts that .. “without faith it is impossible to please Him”. It is the one simple thing God asks of us …
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” ... There is a misconception that just doing good works/deeds is enough to get into Heaven. Sorry not good enough ! The story of the Pharisees who went up to pray and many good works, but he was destitute of faith, in the stoning sacrifice.

Luke 18:11-14 “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

We lay all our burdens at the foot of the cross, as through all Him all things are possible. God bless your words to our hearts may these seeds grow to be like a mighty Oak tree. Part 2 follows next week, so don't miss it.
