As it is in Heavenly

54: 040320

As it is in Heavenly

One night a child was starring up into the night sky, wondering how one could get up to Heaven? As it was so so far away, as he could see no ladder. He was stood by his wise mother who offered in response …

Heaven must first come down to you,

then, Heaven must come first into

your heart.”

We must always remember what Jesus Christ told us in Math 6:9/13…

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10-Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11-Give us this day our daily bread.
12-And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13-And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the

glory forever. Amen.

. # Please take note – We can never enter Heaven/ until Heaven enters us. For we must have the life of God inside of us before we are ready to dwell in blessedness with God, and turn away from our old ways.

An author, unknown to me, (but known to Creflo Dollar) once wrote….

We are to much in the habbit of looking forward

to Heaven as something that . . WILL BE ..easier-

pleasanter story for us read when we have finished

this tiresome Earth narrative, a Luxurious palace

chamber to rest in after this lifes drudgery is ended,.

In a remote celestial mountain top retreat , where

the sound of restless waves of Humanity, forever

fretting these shores , will vex our ears no longer.”

It may seem that Heaven is afar off, and we have to wait to experience it’s wonder that waits there for us. But wait, NO, as it begin right here and now, in al we do today – tomorrow – n in what you did yesterday.

Remember our Lords prayer, where it states ..” Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven “. (v10) ..Just think of that line for a minute, on Earth”. It means, in our shopping: work place: in our cars: homes: schools: in our social lives: our times of temptation; our sorrows as well, tell you what lets say EVERYTHING we do and see. The Lords prayer is not to be taken out of our World into Heaven, and to begin there doing Gods will. That’s why it written “On Earth that it is in Heaven” Jesus told us this, that we might just grasp this, He never said something, and immediately recanted (in other words then with drew the statement).

"How do they live in Heaven”

When we begin our Christian lives on Earth with our hearts and minds and wills estranged from God. Hence why we want our own mercy way doing what we wanted, when – where – when and how we wanted, for our own gratification, not Gods. As we become Christians, now we want our way our way to be a new life is the acceptance of God and Christ Jesus as our King. But, not straight away does the Kingdom in us become fully His. We need to change everything we do and say, this takes time, it does not happen over night. Just as a puppy must be taught to let us know when it needs out to the garden. So we must be taught his ways. Christian growth is simply the beginning of our wills into perfect accord with Gods. It is learning to do always things that please, it is the least we can do after He saved us.

Tennyson wrote…

Our wills are ours, we know not how -

Our wills are ours, to make them thine*

Our wills are ours, Such a profound truthful description of Humanity. For god made us in His own image, yet we still have a free will to do as we wish. This is so God ‘cannot’ force His will upon us, and so left up to us to come freely to Him.

Our wills are ours, to make them thine*

*means yours

You see God want our wills, but only if we come unto Him freely, without pressure or force, or, spiritual & Christian growth wont happen. It would be like putting a 10ft wall around us, nothing going out, nothing coming in. We have to give all of us, to surrender completely. There’s no use being a footballer if you don’t use a football. Why would you be an Ice-skater if you don’t wear Ice-skates. Is any of this sinking in yet? When we are taught of/by God then daily by His divine Holy Spirit, then with every passing day our faith brings us a step close3r to Gods dream for us on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Thy will be done”, … This requires our total obedience, both full and complete. It is talking of God word, not just into our hearts, but letting it come out in everything we do and say. It’s letting out Gods way always, sweetly, quietly, with love and faith.

But the greatest of these is love”

1Corith 13:13

The divine law is summed up in one word,, ‘Love -Thou shalt love – God is love – As it is in Heaven’ As the lesson are for sure gathered into one, learning the art of love/ing. The best place to do this is, by loving God first. Then loving God begets in us love to all men.

Our wills are ours, to make them thine

For sure many of us think of only the Earthly side to love? We all like to be loved (it stirs our soul), that is, to have other people love us, and live for us, do all kinds of things for us freely. There is an old saying ….

.It is better have been loved, and lost,

than to have never been loved at all

We all enjoy the gratification of love, but that is only miserable selfishness if it goes NO further. To receive, to get is Earthly, “As it is in Heaven”, is truly giving. That is what gods loves does, it finds a blessedness in giving….

John 3:16

God so loved the world that He gave His only

begotten Son”

...that is pure unconditional love. Christ’s love is the purest of all, pours out it’s very ‘life’s blood’, to the very last drop. The one thing that is the essential meaning of loving must always be giving, not that you are looking for a return, that means not receiving in return. We all think that our Heavenly blessedness is often one of selfishness, in other words; what we feel we deserve, and that it will be all enjoyment, and all receiving.

Please bear in mind, even in Heaven will not be an eternity of self gratification, of the bliss of receiving. Even there, yes especially there, where all imperfections, they will all left behind, love though must find it’s blessedness in giving, in serving others, and in pouring out into other lives.

. .On Earth as it is in Heaven. .” In the world that we live today, where social media is king. Staying in touch with those we know, anywhere in the World, we still we still find those still sighing, just to have friends, and just to know what it ius to be loved. . .

  • Why not it is only natural..

  • We all hunger for love..

...one thing craving will become is, totally ‘unwholesome’, slowly passing this and then onto and becoming ‘Miserably-morbid’. Though a great deal more wholesome desire is craving to give love, to be a blessing to others, to pour out the hearts sweet life to refresh weary hearts.

It is Gods will that we should love..

O..Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments..”

...Isaiah wrote regarding love in 38 17

..Indeed it was for my own peace That I had great bitterness;
But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back..”

...WOW, “What have I done O Lord, to deserve such love like this?” That God ‘is’ willing to do this, yet man kind (Gentiles) never got this then, or even a small percentage of today’s Earth population. I can only say scandalous on today’s population with knowledge read our finger tips, and the Christians who know this and don’t/won’t share, when we have been told to ..

go out in to the World and preach the Gospel”

...not to sit our bums and do nothing, and make excuses, ‘Oh it’s to windy’ .. ‘they will bring the tone down’ .. excuses excuses.

Whilst sharing this quote, I have to say I’m sure who wrote this..

It may be only a covetous outreach,

after a blessing which belongs to

another, and without which that

other life must be left wholly and refreshed”

...a great deal more wholesome desire is the craving to give love, to be a blessing to pour out the heart’s sweet life to refresh other weary hearts. It seems to be the mission of some in this world to give not to receive. They are set to shine in the darkness, burning up their own life as lamp oil burns, to be light to other souls. They are called to serve, to minister to wear out their life in giving sweetness, comfort, and to help others , while none come to minister to them, to pour out loves sweetness into their hearts, and to give them daily bread of affection, cheer, and help. In many homes today we find such lives . . . a patient wife and mother, or a gentle unselfish sister blessing, caring for, serving, giving out perpetually loves richest gifts, so why are we so apt in pitying such people.

Our Lord himself, He loved and gave blessed many, in the act He gave his life, but few came to Him a blessing and the sweetness of love in His own soul. For sure it more divine to give love than be loved. At least, God’s will for us is that we should love pouring out our hearts richest treasure upon others, not asking meanwhile for any return...

Love is it’s own best returns reward “

...“As it is in heaven” shines before us as the ideal of out Earthly life. Sometimes it is serving others – Sometimes it is quiet patient suffering, or passive waiting. The one great lessen to learnt is to have a perfect accord aligned with the will of God, in every moment of our lives, no matter what that may be.

As it is in heaven” Heaven may seem far above us today, because for us at the moment the song is too sweet for our unmusical voices to sing.

This life is to beautiful for us, with our imperfect – inharmonious natures to live.

  • But if only we are true to our Christian faith.

  • If only we strive to do our fathers will.

  • If only we keep our hearts open to the love of Christ, and to the help, and sanctifying influence of the Holy Spirit, we shall rise day by day towards Heavens perfections until we shall enter those pearly gates and be like him. For the present our striving and our prayers should ever be.

Mathew 6 10

The New Covenant

52:100218
The New Covenant
& what it meant

Genesis 14:18/20  "Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand. .”
(I feel that before I start I need to clarify the
term ‘priest most high’)
It talks of the one whom there is NO one higher than them. Example:- In the Catholic faith – the Pope – is ‘the most high’ for them. In the Muslim faith it would be – Allah – (Allah is the Arabic word for God in Abrahamic religions. In the English language, the word generally refers to God in Islam. The word is thought to be derived by contraction from al-ilāh, which means "the god", and is related to El and Elah, the Hebrew and Aramaic words for God).

Jesus was a High Priest, after the order of Melchizedek. Where there were no curses, and so there were only blessings after blessings, as did Abram who gave a blessing in a ‘tenth’ of all his spoils. It was also a thanks giving response under the ‘New Covenant’ which was a blessing upon blessings upon blessings.

The ‘Old Testament’ was discarded, as God had released all believers, because it was man’s ineptitude to follow it let alone being able to keep the entire ‘Commandments’. Once man was released from the binds of the ‘Old Testament’, it seemed they did not have those roles any more to follow.

#A better New Testament brought new promises#
Tithing should be done with a thanks giving heart. Today all too many Christians feel like they have turn up to Church to say/do, out thanks for all He has done for them, tithing out of thanks and not just the big things, like saving/healing someone, but, also the smaller everyday things. For example:- Green traffic lights making our journey’s quicker and stress free. When you think of it like this our Lord does a lot, that’s why we have so much to be thankful for.

Heb 7-11  “. .Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?..”

Surely if everything was working just fine, as the ‘Law’ was being kept, and as a result it brought about perfection, why change? So why on Earth would up set the apple cart? Even just by talking about the new ‘Priesthood’ of Melchizedek and stay under that of Aaron. Imagine in today's world going to Church with a sheep or goat of other livestock, under you arm to be slaughter in a way of repentance or Worship, it would be brutal.

I do need to tell you that this ‘Perfection’, that is being talked of is NOT actually ‘perfection’ it’s a different meaning. When we look at ‘Perfection’ today, it is completely different, in what we look for today. Perfection/flawless i.e where sin is concerned today.

Heb 9-9   “. .It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience. .”

In Hebrews 7:7, we can see what is the message here, . .Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. .” …is that under the Law, they found, that they were unable to obtain this ‘Perfect-Conscience’. This was because a ‘P-C’ would mean a Mind/Conscience, that would become a non-sin Conscience’* see below’. The trouble was that they could not achieve this under the then ‘Levitical Priesthood’.

*this saying I once heard Creflo Dollar call it.

It could no longer work under the old Priesthood, Hence why the change had to happen, even to Aaron.

Please Pay Close Attention To The Following

   # If you are conscience of sin, but stop your conscience can be perfected. There is only one option open to you, that is through the Blood of Jesus. Then and only then can we stand a chance.

Please stay with me, as the next part
Is major importance.

If our [mindful] sin is left to creep back into our lives, and do not deal with it swiftly, your Faith is going to be slowly eroded away. So all the sweet tender mercies will be of no use to us any more, especially those of the ‘New Covenant’, the devil be very aware of this, read to pounce, at the earliest chance.#

Heb 10-22  “. .let us draw near with a true heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. .”

Pure:- Then, would mean the water to … be without blemish … Clean … Undefiled. ‘Sin’ defiles and pollutes, this is why the blood of Jesus is the only thing to wash ALL ‘Sin-stains’ away , to make you as white as fresh-fallen-snow.

Every time you come before God, the only thing that holds you back is an ‘evil-conscience’. Every time we come forth to be … Healed … Delivered … Prayers Answered. The thing that finds its way back into our lives, sometimes without even realising. This will happen when accepting Christ into our lives, only half-heartedly, because of this attitude you cannot have received fully the blood of Christ, thus it would be like buying a 2ltr of milk and half of it is made up of water, you will never feel the full benefits of the milk. That is what you do to the blood of Christ every time you ‘Sin’, it’s why you will never be healed … Cleaned … Purged, if you will, all because of Sin. Our Bible tells that ‘Cleansed/Purged’, there shall be NO conscience of us committing sin anymore as the yoke of bondage has been broken.

But, if you would like to keep some of those sins, then good luck in being cleansed/purged fully. This kind of folly is always going to S T O P your faith and more importantly, Gods tender mercies.

1 Tim 4-22  “. .speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. .”

The easiest way to put this is that because of the ‘Blood-of-Christ’, no longer has dominion over you, despite all the devils attempts. If I miss the (and not cling onto, also continue) I’m not going to worry, why because I have been cleaned by Jesus blood.

Part 2

Knowing our Earthly law is to know what is acceptable and what is not. So to drive your car through a town centre at over 80mph/Kmh is just so wrong, as we know it is only 30mph/Kmh at the most.

Gen 2-9  “..The tree of life was also in the midst of the
garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil..”

God made all the things in the ‘Garden of Eden’, and it was all so good. Even the tree of ‘knowledge’ was there and was good, with no-thing bad about it. As time was to prove, the law was not good for man, because of man’s inability to keep the simple law. Some people believe as Christians must have Holy lives, thus being able to teach about the tree of ‘Knowledge’, of good and evil.

Gen 3:7  “..Then the eyes of both of them were opened,
and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings..”

Now, God had told them that they were not to eat from the tree of ‘Knowledge’. They could have fruit from all the other tree’s in the Garden, as it was good. This lye’s to the start of man’s consciousness and disobedience. How easy was the command from God, how easy are we influenced to do wrong.

Because of A&E’s (Adam & Eve’s) disobedience they were embarrassed about being naked. Before A&E left on their sinful ways, as they could see sin now, that the tree of Knowledge, taught them right from wrong, they now knew good from evil. They did not have all these worries, because before they were blind to all sin, they only ever saw God’s majestic beauty, how wonderful this must have been.

OK
I want you want you to think of this before answering ….
Do you want your mind to be ruled by the law?
OR
Do you want your mind to be ruled by Christ Jesus?

For me, it has be ruled be Christ Jesus, as it gain for more than ever conceived possible before. A perfect conscience would be to know we have been delivered from the law; this has to now make us more confident as we go to stand before God.

1 John 3-21  “..Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us,
we have confidence toward God..”

#To keep our hearts from all sin, we must always be quick to confess#

When after confessing these sins, we have to remind ourselves that …
     I.            When I miss the mark, remember, I am righteousness of God.
II.            Remember my sins have been purged.
III.            I am not a sinner, because I have been made right by God.

Make your life one of Holy living something you do, so you’re your heart is not able to condemn you. The thing is you should not be trying to live Holy just to impress God. Once you are saved, you were washed clean, and made Holy, thus being saved is now to made whole. Thus this has now brought about all God’s riches and graces of … Righteous … Interest in Heaven … Prosperous … and Healed.

Now we are saved and made whole, it’s time to let Christ Jesus be our guiding morale compass, and we can’t go far wrong. One way is read Proverbs, last thing at night, and then be it the first thing you read in the morning over breakfast. Suddenly you will find your helping people with wisdom.

W A R N I N G

Always be aware, the more you try and live Holy. Watch out, you will receive a very angry devils wrath, he will spit ~ bang around ~ hiss and more besides. Now the devil will use all his under handed tricks, he wants your conscience, then beat you down till your faith is in tatters. The devil just loves it whenever we flick that switch marked ‘self-destruction, now you are open for the devil to start making you think it’s all Gods fault.

Part 3

Heb 7:17   “..For He testifies: You are a priest forever
according to the order of Melchizedek..”

During this time of Jesus being alive, it was told He would be a High-Priest, with no curses only blessings.

V18 … Tells how and why the ‘Old Testament’s Commandments, I mean just 10 rules, how inept we must/are have been, in not keeping & living by them. Because of this, God surely must have been beside Himself. Hence why when God sent His son Jesus, God tore up the old 10 rules, then told His Son to show a new way to live and worship God. Even in these simple ways, we show God how weak and pathetic we are.

Heb 8: 6   “..But now He has obtained a more excellent
ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises..”

This verse makes this whole situation, as clear as crystal, also these promises become only better and better every time.

At this juncture there is a big point worth of note, that is the New Covenant, is that it does not talk about ‘balance’. It has to be sais that we must be guarded that we we’re not fooled by someone saying ‘falsely’ about ‘balance’, and no curses.
V19
Heb 9:19   “..For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people..”

With the arrival of Christ Jesus, so for all the sacrifices of animals are now made obsolete, under the New Covenant. It was Jesus who said ….
Luke 22: 20  Like “..wise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you..”
V20  - Heb 9 20  “..saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you..”

Jesus made an oath to Melchizedek that He (Jesus) was going to be the ‘High-Priest’, and just for then, but forever. Remember, that when God makes an oath with you, it will come to pass. Now as it after Melchizedek, now will come blessings upon blessings, remembering also there are going to be no curses.

V22
Heb 9: 22:  “..And according to the law almost all
things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission..”

God & Jesus must burnt the mid-night oil with this ‘New Covenant’, it has been set as ‘fool-proof’. For it truly does what it says on the tin. Such is the simplicity that even today it is as they intended it, still fool-proof.

The new covenant was made this simple, so it would transcend down the ages, and you don’t have to be a High-Priest, to understand it. It was if God had stamped an ‘Eternity-Guarantee’ upon it. Because of Man’s ineptitude & weakness of the flesh God & Jesus let’s take this out of Man’s hands, as only I can up hold the New Covenant.

Under the old Covenant who was found to react to what man did, but today it is now man that who reacts. This is a real revelation, we have missed out on so much because of how we started out in ‘The garden of Eden’. Man can’t be left alone to his own devices, now we now we have a real relationship & balance, who would not want this? God has told us that we need no longer slaughter animals in His house, in fact we don’t have to bring anything, accept ourselves.

# It’s all about God now #

When someone gives you something for ‘free’, you would smile (because let’s be honest we all like getting something for free) and with that say thank you. Whilst growing, up our parents would tell us to mind our ‘Ps’ & ‘Qs’, in other words to say ‘Please & Thank you’. This has to be the very least would say for being healed, or all those green light making you journey an easy one.

Heb 8: 6   “..But now He has obtained a more excellent
ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises..”

With the removal of the 10 Commandments, has been the cause of many a argument down the ages. Many have said man found them hard to keep, that’s why they were done away with. This should be of no surprise, for all the way back to the Garden of Eden we have shown great distain to following God’s Laws, be it 1 law or 10.

God had made them simple, or so He thought anyways. He should have known what would happen, despite in His view of them being easy to follow. Hence forth there is no longer going to have no more outward showing people that knowing God is simply the best way to live your life. This is because God’s will from that point forth, is going to make His word known to everyman woman & child.

No books/Covenants is going to tell us what we are going to do, instead , God will direct us, and teach us. As God is the only one who will inform us, in what we are going to do next.

God must have sat in Heaven and wondered to Himself how more simpler He make it for us to abide ….
… The law in the Garden of Eden was the simplest of
all  “..but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
you shall not eat..” Gen 2: 17
…. Adam and Eve had the whole garden to eat from and God’s blessings would flow freely.

So let’s have a recap as to where we are so far…
-        Having brought His people, out from Pharaoh’s slavery, to freedom, they had become unruly and shown that they needed ‘new’ guide lines, with which to live. Just in case they can’t follow these simple rules, they must make a sacrifice, of an animal, and all will be forgiven.
-        Once again it was man’s pathetic ineptitude to follow 10 simple Commandments/rules, another new covenant was made, God sat down and once again had a rethink. So He tore up His ‘simple’ covenant. Now all we have to do in order for God’s blessings, it’s as simple as have Faith & Believe.

It’s as easy as 1 2 3, what we all have to do is, think about God during our day, say a prayer, and stop sinning, even though He will no longer remember them because His only begotten blood has washed them away.
We tend to be too flippant about God’s gifts, when they are all ready for us to have, listed below are just some of the common ones ….
Ø When you’re sick, “know I’m your God, so believe and be healed” I have seen this for sure. I saw a girl be healed at a Christian gathering, north Wales.
Ø When the rent money is due, have faith and believe. He will provide for you.

Having ‘Faith & belief’ is what I did after being saved. My rent was due, I had a 600 mile round trip in bringing my parents to witness my baptism, and that is not counting buying food for month, as well as fuel for the car to get to work. So with the last pound I had and put it into the offering. I said “it’s over to you Lord, you said it would be multiplied by x10. God asks that we believe in Him, and provisions in my store house will come unto you.

Here’s a tip :- ‘righteousness will help/cause us, to know our Lord more closely .’ As we have seen, and learnt, at hoe powerful was that of an animal sacrifice which ceremonial cleansing. But now, the son of God has been offered as a sacrifice, ‘His own blood’. How much more will the spiritual sacrifice of Christ will now cleanse the soul?

When God said “I’ll be you God”, and also, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

This has become part of the essence of our faith. We mere humans, tend NOT to believe something that which we cannot see – touch – smell. So to go against this can take doing, for me again it comes back to my saying “have faith & believe”.

Again I will ask  … ‘Do you believe?’ … Do you believe in God’s word?’

God needs us to trust in Him, far more than we could ever trust ourselves. I will finish my message, and leave it summed up in Gods words ….

Jeremiah 31:34  “..No more shall every man teach his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more..

The Sufferings of the Spirit....1

52:030118
The Sufferings of the Spirit

Many times do we suffer in silence, so let’s have a look how we affect the Holy Spirit, and it’s all because of us.

1.     Blasphemed by the presumption of man (ie us)
2.   Insulted by the pride of man
3.   Vexed by the disobedience of man
4.   Resisted by the unbelief of man
5.    Tempted by the insincerity of man#
6.   Quenched by the prejudice of men
7.    Grieved by the frivolity of man

1)   Blasphemed by the presumption of man (ie us)
Math 12:31  “..Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come..”

This has to be one of the clearest of messages from God that there ever was. Let me ask this then who has heard of these phrases … For Christ Sake … Lord above … Jesus H Christ … Heavens above. All these and many more besides, we hear when something goes wrong. I get really mad when I hear the Lords name being taken in vain.

They said to Jesus, “this fellow casteth out the devil by Beelzebub” Jesus said back to them, “I casteth out devils by the spirit of God..” Therefore the attributed this spirits work to the work of the devil, and so blasphemed the Holy Ghost.

I intend to ask politely, when hearing ‘His name in vain, for whoever speaks this way to refrain, most of the time, will stop and apologise. For those who don’t, I ask for Heaven Father to forgive them for they know not what they do.

2) Insulted by the pride of man
In Hebrews 10:29, we read of those who too much pride in their hearts…  . .Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? .” The thing is to, deny the divinity of Christ and the preciousness of the Blood, is to despise the testimony of the Holy Spirit and to insult him to His face. Or, in street slang, you stand in front of the person you wish to slander, and give them the bird. (this is where the person would make a fist, but leave only the middle finger up). I have to say this is a foul thing given to anyone. There are very few who would do this for fear of retribution from those whose name is taken in vain.
This particular verse opens up my message here…

1 Corinth 11:29 “. . For he who eats and drinks in an
unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself,
not discerning the Lord’s body. .”

If you eat like a dog, soon you will be wild without a care. That’s why if you wish to NOT have a potty mouth, you will need to change the company you keep. An athlete, those at the top, who always seem to win gold medals, eat drink and sleep what it takes to stay at the top of their chosen sports. If you have a potty mouth, you need to surround yourself with like-minded Christians.

3) Vexed by the disobedience of man
This is and old word, one that is not used regularly today. Words used those days seem somehow to mean different. Example :- ‘Gay’ it used to mean you were happy, or of good cheer. Now ‘Gay’ means, you are of the persuasion in liking those of the same sex as you, although this word still means happy/cheerful, but just not what you firstly thing of when someone is called Gay!

Isa 63:9/10  “. .In all their affliction He was afflicted,
And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in
His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried
them All the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved His
Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy,
And He fought against them. .”
Psl 73:21  “. .Thus my heart was grieved, and I
was vexed in my mind. .”

A word that comes up that links both texts is that of ‘aggrieved’. So they were not happy with their lot, hence ‘aggrieved’.  All that He (Lord God) asks is for us to obey Him, turn away from sin, because God’s compassion knows no bounds as for gives ‘all’ our transgressions for our Lords love for us is far deeper than we could fathom.

Try and think of this, redeemed ones rebelling & vexing the Holy One. How often, when He reveals some unexpected ugliness within, instead of being thankful for the discovery, our proud heart rebels and refuses to confess what is wrong with us. Thus the holy Spirit is vexed, hence the Holy one is unable to release His blessings and graces, how stubborn is our pride.

4)  Resisted by the unbelief of men
Acts 7: 51   “. .You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. .”

Be careful of the ‘wisdom we impart to our Children, and those whom look up to us. We must take control of one of the smallest muscles in our whole body.

Heb 3: 19   “. .So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. .”

What I’m really saying is ‘what is there not believe’? In doubting the word of God, the Spirit of God is resisted why? Because for the word of God is his sword.

Since I was 20yrs old, I had thoughts and feelings about being the Church. May be these feeling started some 10yrs before, when I was a cub scout. Time and time again I refused Gods call on my life. May be I was not on my knees yet. Now I have Faith as I believe with all of my heart.

4) Tempted by the insincerity of man.
Acts 5:1/9   “. .But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him. Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?” She said, “Yes, for so much.” Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out. .”

Sums up ‘insincerity’, you have to have the morals of dog poo, to fully get it. I apologise for the bluntness of the afore mentioned. You have to be deranged to lie because in the end you are always caught out, tripped up. I covered about lies to yourself as well as and in ‘Mental Attacks’. Tell me, why would you even think, let alone to actually try to lie?

V3 But Peter said … “Ananias why has satan filled your heart to lie? … Peter can see as clear as day that he is lying to the Holy Ghost. He has gone great to break down Ananias’ lie to Mary to try and to show how futile this would be.
V5 “. . Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these
things. .”  The pressure he put himself under, that was not bad enough, but he levelled the pressure with others. The pressure was avoidable, if he heeded the word from Peter. A man is guilty of this when pretends to his brethren/friends that he is wholly devoted to God, whilst at the same time indulging in his secret sin.

Psalms 51: 10  “. .Create in me a clean heart, O God, And
renew a steadfast spirit within me. .”
1Thes 5: 19   “. .Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. .”

We clearly see here (and it still happens today) that what is forbidden here is a very common  sin … Eph 4:30  “. .And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. .” … This one treats with indifference the message of God. Though you have to wonder, because the messenger is not after our hearts.

May be someone can comment to this quandary …
Why is that we can seemingly have it/a good thing, do we
knowingly do some wrong/forbidden-fruit mess it all up?
We seem to have this inherent to destroy all the good around us.

1 Thes 5:20/22  “. .Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test
all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every
form of evil. .”

Again another verse I find myself reading that tells us in plain English to those who read these words God leaves no room for misunderstanding. By ignoring His warnings is to stand face to face with God, set fire to His words (the Bible), and laugh into His face whilst you do this.

7)  Grieved by the frivolity of men
Eph 4: 30 “. . do not grieve the Holy Spirit. .”

This part of v30 is just a small part of the grievance, which this solemn exhortation lies between these other verses which show the full point that was being made here.

Eph 4 29/31   “. .29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. “

WOW, simply WOW. If you kept using the Lords name in vain, and I turned to you and said ‘Please don’t use the Lords name as part of your swearing’. But you ignored me and just carried on, do you not think I’ll be upset/grieved? Do you not think then, that the Holy Ghost is not grieved, just because He is not stood in front of you?

Jesus Christ is grieved by the unprofitable conversation of us Christians, He is also grieved because He wishes to teach us  how to profit, how amaizing is He. Though He cannot join in non-profitable talk, much less in evil speak. If the Holy Ghost cannot afford to be trivial, then why are we. Everyone should put a watch (not the one you wear on your wrist), but a Guard/Century, be put at the door to our lips.

I’ll leave you with parting thought ….
Men filled with the Holy Spirit are usually of a solemn
nature “
